About our Section……… As one of the original sections founded in 1947, the Central Indiana Section has grown and evolved with the advances in polymers and processing technology allowing our members to stay informed of the continual advances in this sector. As a not-for profit organization dedicated to “the education and promotion of plastics and polymers world-wide”, our section hosts technical meetings and events as a vehicle to inform the members and general public on a wide variety of plastics- related topics. Our section also hosts several social events on an annual basis to help raise funds for our educational endeavors. As a value added benefit to our members we also offer networking opportunities with plastics professionals where answers to questions, opinions, and personal contacts can be made in a professional setting. We are operated by a dedicated group of volunteers who make up our board and rely solely on membership dues and corporate sponsorship to deliver these programs. The section invites all to participate and we encourage you to visit us for an enjoyable and educational experience!
