Production Engineer
Summary:
This position evaluates Rex Energy leases to optimize production. Reviews existing well-bores for potential re-work, monitors lease production, and identifies development opportunities.
Education/Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
2. 1 to 3 years petroleum industry experience desirable.
Requirements/Skills:
1. Good math and computer skills.
2. Familiar with Microsoft Office products.
3. Good organizational skills.
4. Ability to work independently.
5. Good intrapersonal skills.
6. Registered engineer a plus.
7. Valid driver’s license.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Review leases to identify re-work or development opportunities.
Review daily production to identify production shortfalls and recommend correction actions.
Generate re-work, repair, abandonment and drilling procedures.
Investigate current and potential operating changes to reduce costs and increase production.
Interact with production foreman to develop a good working relationship to approach production actions with a team plan.
Provide input for quarterly reviews of business plan and assist with annual budget process.
